Dependent on ourselves,

Or desperate for His Spirit? So I know its been a couple of days since I have blogged but it just seems I haven't had the time. But the past few days have been really good. On Sunday me, Katie, and Jocelyn got to do Kidz Klub which was a lot of fun. Last year I actually didn't even like being in Kidz but this year I totally love it. After church us three went to Clint's football scrimmage which they beat the other team. It was much fun. Monday we woke up to Leash jumping on us. She made a surprise visit which was wonderful. She actually left this morning after prayer which makes me sad. It's so good to have her around. But God is doing amazing things in her life right now in Kentucky so I'm very proud of her. Most of us went to Chipotle yesterday and then some of us girls went to Anna's for some amazing ice cream and to watch a movie with her on her birthday. Then there was today, and it was just like any other Masters day. The past couple of days have just been really good. So thankful for the people God has placed in my life.

So I know I have shared some stuff with you about this book I'm reading called Radical but I'm still not finished with it and it just keeps getting better and better. But I want to share something with you that I read last night. This is something the author David Platt said "The reality is that it doesn't matter how many resources that church has. The church I lead could have all the man-made resources that one could imagine, but apart from that power of the Holy Spirit, such a church will do nothing of significance for the glory of God. In fact, I believe the opposite is true. The church I lead could have the least gifted people, the least talented people, the fewest leaders, and the least money, and this church under the power of the Holy Spirit could still shake the nations for His glory." What I continue to grasp when I read this book is that it doesn't really matter about who we are, or what we can do but it matters how much of God's power we have in us. His power is so superior to ours. Why do we not desperately seek it? When it comes to a church we get so caught up in all the things that will attract people to come into our church but how does it even matter what the number we bring in, if we have completely forgotten the power of the Holy Spirit within our church. A small church with very few people but has the power of God within their church is going to be much more affective in this world than a huge church without any of God's power within the church. We have to realize that we need God's power, we need the Holy Spirit within us and within our church. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the Helper, the Guide, the very presence of God living in you. The Holy Spirit is so vital in our relationship with God. This book has literally made me realize a lot of things and I'm not even finished with it. I know that as I continue to read I will continue to learn more and more things. I believe tomorrow I will also talk about something else I read from this book because it has really kept my mind thinking. If you haven't read it, I really think you should. If you didn't see from before this book is called Radical written by David Platt. Remember to not ever doubt who you are in God because that is who he wants you to be, even if there are little things that you need to change that doesn't mean you are less than anyone else because we all have things to change about ourselves to continue to strengthen our relationship with God. May your day tomorrow be amazing and filled with happiness. I love you all.
