Maegans Journey: Its never to late to forgive.....

and move on. Today was an awesome first legit day of Masters. We began our day out by praying at the church for 30 mins that the Lord would just move this year and we would all have a strong unity and love for each other then after we did that the boys went to the guys house with Josue and then us girls went to our house with Meghan and we began to pray over the house. It was a wonderful time to pray for the upcoming girls who are coming to be a part to Masters this year and to also pray that all negativity and gossiping would no longer enter into the house this year and that the house would be cleansed of any ungodly things that have happened within the home. After prayer we got a good break and I went to the mall with Rachel and Sonja they both got their cartilage pierced. Then we had to head back home to have our very first house meeting with Meghan it went really well our rules for keeping the home clean is very good and definitely not to much to ask. I think things will go alot more smooth within the house than they did last year so im excited. After that we all fixed our dinners me and Katie are sharing our food and cooking meals together so tonight we had spaghetti and it was delicious. After all that we were to meet at the church by 7 and this is where the night gets amazing with God. We go into the choir room and there are candles and pretty lights all around and we are asked to sit down. Then we had the opportunity to worship God and praise him and to think of things that we have held onto that we need to let go of and forgive or ask forgiveness. Josue begins to read Colossians 3:12-17 well I think that is what he read but the verse was about forgiveness and unity. It was such a powerful word because when there is one issue within the group it hurts the whole group as one and can destroy the unity that it has. So we were asked to write down all things that we need to let go of that someone may have hurt us, or we may have hurt someone else that needed to be forgiven so we had about 15 mins to do that. Josue and Meghan did this tonight so that we could all have a healthy relationship together and not let past hurts and pains hold us back from what God had for us all this year it was time to ask forgiveness of anything and everything we had been holding onto so that we may have a unity and love for each other this year. Once we finished with writing our stuff down we went to Josue and Meghan's and had a fire and each of us threw those papers in the fire so that those things could be let go of and we could continue to become more strong and powerful men and women of God together. It was such an amazing night. We then all just hung out around the fire and had s'mores and made up stories. So as you can tell it was just another amazing God encounter evening. If there is anything you are holding onto and cant let go of from something someone has done to you in the past or recently now is the time to let go of those things and love those people who have hurt you because we are to love like Jesus does.
